Welcome to 2025! Our Summer trading schedule is almost complete and we very much look forward to meeting up with you at an event or on a Festival Field somewhere over the Summer. In the meantime, we are gradually adding our new season stock to the website. We have not increased our postage prices and we are still able to send up to 2kg via 2nd class Royal Mail for just £4 and anything that is large letter size for £3. We are Pete & Jules and we created The Hippie Boat Brand in 2015. Operating as Roving Traders from our narrowboat, we cruised the UK Canals and Rivers setting up our extensive outdoor display of Fair Trade Festival Style Clothing, Bags, Accessories, Incense and other ethically sourced merchandise from the side of the boat at various towpath locations over the Spring & Summer months.

Last year, after a move off the boat to a traditional Welsh cottage on the Llyn Peninsula, we hit the road in a Motorhome and took our pop-up shop to various land based Festivals, some of which were in areas that we haven’t previously been able to reach by boat! Thank you so much to everyone that made 2024 such an absolutely awesome trading experience! Despite the challenges of adverse weather at times, which saw gazebos taking off in all directions, we had so much fun; we reunited with friends, made lots of new friends, enjoyed listening to some fantastic bands, sold lots of gorgeous clothes to lovely customers and made wonderful memories. Travelling on wheels enabled us to zig zag across the country rather than being confined to one canal route and it really opened up our trading options.

We are now looking forward to our second year of land trading and are excited to get on the road again with the Hippie Boat on Wheels.

April has arrived and so has the sunshine; hope that it isn’t a brief visit and we have plenty of long warm Summer days to look forward to ☀️! The Hippie Boat on Wheels headquarters is currently a hive of activity, we are continuing to work on our end of year stock take and are also cataloguing our new stock. We are still waiting for a big order from Nepal that has been held up, but have been assured that it will be here in time for our first event which is the Llangefni Food Festival on Easter Saturday 🤞. On Friday, we drove to St.Helens to collect our (new to us) van, a Peugeot Boxer LWB high top, which replaces our trusty, but now sold, Hymer,. The van, which will have advertising signage on the side (pics to follow) will be much more practical for festival trading as we will be able to rack it out properly and carry a lot more weight. Pete is also working hard at fitting our new kitchen before trading starts in earnest and I am trying to decide on what colour to paint the walls, which I’m not finding easy! The beauty of these fabulous longer days, is the time to unwind with a walk at the end of a busy day and yesterday evening, we decided to check out the newly made pedestrian path down to Nant Gwythern, it was so beautiful in the late sunshine, but a very steep climb back up that saw us having to stop for breath more than once 😅 it would definitely have been sensible to take some water with us! Anyway, we exhausted ourselves and the doggies and all slept well 😁 We hope that you all have a wonderful and relaxing Sunday, charged with good vibes, whatever plans you may have and wherever you may be.
