It’ll be our first outing with The Hippie Boat On Wheels at a local event, and although we’ll have a smaller indoor setup, we will be bringing plenty of gorgeous fair-trade boho & festival clothing, bags, jewellery, incense, decorative hangings and a small selection of new & vintage high street fashion labels.

If you’d like us to bring something specific from the website, simply order online and choose ‘collection in person’ + ‘pay on collection’.

We’ve also upgraded our checkout! You can now use Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal (including Pay Later), card payments, Klarna, Clearpay, and direct bank transfer.

We are Pete & Jules and we created The Hippie Boat Brand in 2015. Operating as Roving Traders from our narrowboat, we cruised the UK Canals and Rivers setting up our extensive outdoor display of Fair Trade Festival Style Clothing, Bags, Accessories, Incense and other ethically sourced merchandise from the side of the boat at various towpath locations over the Spring & Summer months.

Last year, after a move off the boat to a traditional Welsh cottage on the Llyn Peninsula, we hit the road in a Motorhome and took our pop-up shop to various land based Festivals, some of which were in areas that we haven’t previously been able to reach by boat! Thank you so much to everyone that made 2024 such an absolutely awesome trading experience! Despite the challenges of adverse weather at times, which saw gazebos taking off in all directions, we had so much fun; we reunited with friends, made lots of new friends, enjoyed listening to some fantastic bands, sold lots of gorgeous clothes to lovely customers and made wonderful memories. Travelling on wheels enabled us to zig zag across the country rather than being confined to one canal route and it really opened up our trading options.

We are now looking forward to our second year of land trading and are excited to get on the road again with the Hippie Boat on Wheels.

Unfortunately I have had to temporarily disable PayPal on our website as we have been the victim of a Card Testing Attack, which has been very frustrating as I have had to remove literally hundreds of failed payments 😩 I have been trying to resolve the issue since yesterday, without success and have now identified the payment route being used to make the attack is Paypal. I have downloaded ‘cloudfare Turnstile’, but I don’t think that it is working, so I need to wait until Monday when I will be able to access more expert help from Niki. I will endeavour to enable Paypal again asap, but in the meantime, all other payment options are available. If anyone is wondering what a card testing attack is, here is an extract from an article I sourced online:“Card testing is a type of fraud where the someone obtains a large amount of stolen credit card data, and then attempts to determine which of those cards are valid. Typically, these fraudulent attempts involve making a multiple low-value purchases, each with a different card, to avoid detection by cardholders or banks. If the purchase is successful, the attacker learns that the card is valid, allowing them to sell the card data as “validated” for higher prices, or to use it for larger fraudulent purchases”. ...
